The SNOEK VERTICAL SCREEN RAKE consists of a one-piece profiled frame cast in SS 304 sheet metal and fitted with a removable screen extended by a an articulated drag scraper on a weighed guide. When started up, the drag scraper unit comes down from its high position and comes away from the scraping area (the drag scraper is open) until it tilts and closes upon contact with the screen rake at the bottom. The vertical movement of the drag scraper unit is controlled by 2 belts wound on a drum. When the unit comes back up, it drags the waste that has accumulated on the screen rake and takes it away from the wet area to the discharge point where the waste is disposed of either in a container, or in a conveying or compaction screw. The SNOEK VERTICAL SCREEN RAKE operates automatically when the cleaning process is initiated. Automation is effected either by level sensor or by cyclic switch.

As a standard version, these screen rakes are made entirely of SS 304, the guide rails are in SS and the pads and rollers in HDPE. The belts are in HDPE and are lined with SS. Vertical screen rakes are available with gaps of 10 to 80 mm. The benefit of this type of screen rake resides with its compact size.
